Who is Mike Doyle?

Being a Mortgage Broker today involves more than just being able to obtain the best rate for the client.  Clients are now routinely obtaining mortgages for hundreds of thousands of dollars and it is the largest financial transaction you will undertake.  Quite often we put more thought and planning into purchasing and investing in a $5,000 RSP than we do into financing a $500,000 home.  The mortgage you can afford today, while rates are at historic lows, may not be the mortgage you will face when it comes time to renew in 3 or 5 years.  I recall the days of the early 1980's when families were turning the keys to their homes back to the banks because rates were at 18% and above when it came time to renew.  I am determined that will not happen to my clients.  The home you can afford today is the home you will continue to be able to afford until you decide to sell.

Having been employed in Senior Management and mortgage and investment sales positions with three major financial institutions since 1975 throughout Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia, I am familiar with both the major and smaller markets in those provinces.

As a Mortgage and Investment Consultant through AK Mortgage Plus, I offer a range of financial products that you cannot normally obtain under one roof.  Since I am not affiliated with any one Financial Institution, I am unbiased in my recommendations and able to offer products that truly suit your personal financial needs.

Granted my professional STI designation in 1994 by the Trust Companies Institute, now the Institute of Canadian Bankers, I am recognized as a specialist for both  investment and lending products.  This includes residential mortgage lending, commercial lending, investment products and strategies, and estates.

In 1997 I successfully completed the Investment Funds In Canada course laying the foundation for helping clients build sound and profitable investment portfolios.  I believe a mortgage is only one component of financial health and must be undertaken in partnership with a sound investment strategy in order to achieve ultimate financial freedom.

Providing residential mortgages to my clients through over 40 different financial institutions,  my job is to place your mortgage with the institution providing the best terms and rates as determined by your needs and financial objectives.  Because mortgage brokers deal in volumes, I am able to obtain wholesale rates with terms significantly better than what you are able to obtain yourself.
